MARKETING ASSISTANT / SNOW REPORTER

BASIC FUNCTION                                                                 

The Marketing Assistant is a team member responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager with all aspects of marketing and sales: brand development, message continuity, collateral, communications, advertising, web presence, social media, product development, guest research, vendor relations, public relations, and email/e-news messaging.  The Marketing Assistant will be responsible for the daily updating of website content, social media content, snow reporting and photo/video assets.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES                                  

  • Participates in brand development planning sessions for the resort. 
  • Manages timely and consistent updates of online resources including dynamic web content (daily photos, video, snow reports, etc.)
  • Organizes and manages snow reporting function
  • Manages social media and e-mail channels and proactively communicates resort brand.
  • Works with the Marketing Manager and outside agencies on collateral development- including brochures, trade show displays, on site merchandising materials.
  • Works with marketing / sales staff to implement day-to-day marketing operations- snow reporting, website updates, social media updates, customer email inquiries, press releases, E-news campaigns.
  • Manages the guest survey program including serving as the contact with the vendor, training the survey staff and working the department heads on tracking goals and results.
  • Manages company guest databases.
  • Keeps comparative information for other resorts. 
  • Set schedule for the Courtesy Ambassador volunteer program. 
  • Works with Courtesy Ambassador staff during the weekends to maintain continuity.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Marketing Manager or GM.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED                                                           
Direction is received from Marketing Manager

QUALIFICATIONS                                                                 
  • Minimum of 1 year in a sales and/or marketing role.
  • Relevant product and industry knowledge.
  • Experience utilizing computer technology including MS Office Suite, Email and Database communications and website CMS (WordPress or equivalent)
  • Experience with relevant hardware and software applications.
  • Must be able to ski or snowboard all groomed terrain and limited gladed terrain.
  • Must be able to work and stand outside in winter conditions for long periods of time.
  • Some travel is required. (Less than 15%)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends during the winter and evenings as group and event activity dictates.
  • Must be able to lift at least 50lbs occasionally.
